Our Rose is perfect for Summer drinking. Made from 100% Sangiovese, it presents a light and fruity palate, supported by good structure, acidity and grape tannins, all in perfect balance. This is a very popular wine that sells out even before it is bottled.
The 2014 vintage was released in April 2015. As always, it is a blend of 100% Sangiovese, harvested by hand early in September 2014 in our vineyards of Gaiole in Chianti.

Grapes are destalked into small bins, gently crushed by foot and pressed immediately like a white wine – pressurage direct. Both fermentation and ageing were made in our new “Nomblot” cement tanks for 9 months.

This new rosé: new vintage, new label and new method allows us to have a pale, light and fresh rosé of 11,5 % alcohol. Lovely citric acidity with fruity notes of strawberry and peach.

Obviously, we would recommend to drink it now and to enjoy with the first Tuscan sun ray, but it can be appreciated everywhere else where the sun is arriving and it can be kept longer to match perfectly with Mediterranean cooking, or Asian food, such as sweet and sour based dishes or even spicy Indian curry with fresh herbs.

James SUCKLING gave 92 points as “probably the best Rosé in Tuscany. Pure sangiovese splendor. Drink now”
