JAMES SUCKLING – 97 points. This is a pretty wild and amazing on the nose with crystal-clear aromas of lavender, before the bay leaves, Thai basil, cloves and a touch of vanilla come into play. Medium to full body, incredibly edgy acidity and layer after layer of pure blue fruits. An outstanding wine with few parallels in Italy. One of a kind. Drink now. VIEW>

ROBERT PARKER – WINE ADVOCATE – 93 points: Named after the Italian card game, the 2016 TreSette (777) is a pure expression of Merlot from old vines. Only 2,800 bottles were made. Riecine’s La Gioia once had Merlot in the blend, but it was removed to make this wine instead. This wine offers a generous bouquet with blackcurrant and cherry. However, the high altitudes of the vineyards shape crisp and acidic fruit that is very evident in this slightly cooler vintage. VIEW>
