JAMES SUCKLING – 94 Punti – Aromas of raspberries and fresh blueberries with fresh herbs and licorice. It’s medium-to full-bodied with creamy tannins. Round and juicy with plummy and spicy character on the palate. Delicious finish. Drink now.  VEDI>

FALSTAFF – 93 punti – Rubino brillante. Si apre con note decisamente speziate di cardamomo e alloro, seguite da lampone. Succoso e levigato al palato, molto frutto di lampone, buona pressione nel finale. VEDI>

WINE ADVOCATE – Robert Parker – Monica Larner – 92 Punti – A pure expression of Merlot, the 2017 TreSette is a dark, rich and savory wine that puts forth the richness and concentration that comes thanks to this hot and dry growing season. The wine is redolent of blackberry and black cherry with more plummy intensity at the back. That primary fruit is nicely backed up by sweet spice, tobacco and a sprinkling of cinnamon. It’s a great wine for grilled sausages and roasted potatoes. Only 2,700 bottles were made. VEDI>

JAMES SUCKLING97 punti: This is a pretty wild and amazing on the nose with crystal-clear aromas of lavender, before the bay leaves, Thai basil, cloves and a touch of vanilla come into play. Medium to full body, incredibly edgy acidity and layer after layer of pure blue fruits. An outstanding wine with few parallels in Italy. One of a kind. Drink now. VEDI>

ROBERT PARKER – WINE ADVOCATE – 93 punti: Named after the Italian card game, the 2016 TreSette (777) is a pure expression of Merlot from old vines. Only 2,800 bottles were made. Riecine’s La Gioia once had Merlot in the blend, but it was removed to make this wine instead. This wine offers a generous bouquet with blackcurrant and cherry. However, the high altitudes of the vineyards shape crisp and acidic fruit that is very evident in this slightly cooler vintage. VEDI>
